At-Home Workouts- How to Make the Most of Them


It is recommended that adults get at least 150 minutes of exercise per week, through a mix of strength training and aerobic exercise like walking or jogging. That sounds like a lot, but it’s a small investment for your overall health and well-being. Just a couple of weeks of sitting around more can cause weight gain and a decrease in aerobic fitness. This in turn really makes you feel worse but hopefully ready to get back into a healthy routine.  The last two months, people are snacking more, moving less and are more stressed. 

Fortunately, it’s never been easier to exercise at home, whether you want to set up a home gym or just pick up a few equipment essentials. Here are a few pieces of equipment to equip your home gym, whether it's whole room or a corner of a room.

Dumbbells and Kettlebells: effective tools you can use to work your whole body.   You don't need a lot, 2 sets should be enough to get a good workout.


A Yoga Mat: these are useful for stretching, doing exercises on your knees or back and yoga, of course. You know we love Moveo Fit Co mats.  They are nonslip, suede top, vegan, machine washable, lay flat everytime. Check out their amazing resistance bands too!

A Jump Rope: Jumping rope is a great form of cardio especially when you’re stuck indoors. Ten minutes of jumping rope has been found to be similar to 30 minutes of jogging.

A Medicine Ball & Exercise Ball: medicine balls come in various weights so pick one that's a bit of a challenge. An exercise ball is good for sit ups, wall sits, pike ups and more.
