Slow Cooker Taco Meat

In my home, it could be Taco Tuesday every night of the week.  It NEVER gets old! Fortunately it's an easy meal to prepare too.  Whether you are cooking for a crowd or for a couple, this is a great go-to recipe.  Be sure to freeze leftovers for future taco nights!  My crockpot has an automatic stirrer which I recommend for this recipe.  Otherwise you will need to stir the meat a few times throughout cooking.  Of course, this can also be made in a large pot on the stovetop.  

 

Ingredients:

3 pounds lean ground beef or ground turkey

2 packets Simply Organic Southwest taco seasoning

1 15-ounce can diced tomatoes

Juice of 1 lime

In a slow cooker, mix all ingredients.  With stirrer attached to slow cooker lid, set it to stir every 30 minutes.

Cook on low for 7 hours.
